The gunite is generally 7 to 12 inches thick depending on the area of the pool. There are specific circumstances when the engineer (or plans) may specify the gunite to be thicker.

The excavator’s ‘bobcat’ & front end loading tractor will pass in and out of your yard 150-300 times to dig the pool. No dump trucks or concrete trucks will typically cross on to your property. Some trades may use the driveway for unloading material from pickups or small flatbed trucks.

Generally it takes between twenty-four and forty-eight hours to fill a pool.

It depends on the pool finish, with certain surfaces you can swim within 24-48 hours after installation, others require up to 14 days. Ask your Mr. Carlos Pools and Construction, Inc. rep about the ‘swim’ time for the specific surface you choose.
